Workshop in Bucharest

June 20, 2024

Duration:
Thursday 20 – Saturday 22 – Monday 24

Instruction Language:
English

A three days full immersion workshop lead by Greek photographer Panos Kasimis, with the aim to help you deeply improve your way of thinking and practicing photography. No matter where your photography stands, Panos will help you think about where it should go next, theoretically and practically speaking.

With our subject matter already provided by the visible world, our perceptions and prejudices of what we think we know can often get in the way of the rhythm of our photographs and prevent us from thinking “outside the box”. Concepts such as those of street photography, fine art, modern or conceptual photography can limit us, depriving us of the ability to discover new paths and the photography we truly love.

Panos will help you develop a deeper understanding of the content, an empathy towards the subject and a great comprehension of what stands in front of the camera and how it is possible to convey it through the boundaries of the frame – and of the art of visual improvisation.

Through a wide review of all the means of the photographer, during this workshop we will discover, or discover again, those “emotional miracles” that we can create in every single image we make.
